This is a good base for ski-ing with the Lecht ski area excellent for beginners and the  renowned Cairngorm slopes offering challenging skiing for all abilities  It is also possible to reach the other Scottish centres from here allowing a varied and interesting weeks skiing .
It is also a first class base for mountaineering with many fine ranges close at hand including the beautiful Cairngorms which attract the rock climber ,ski-mountaineer ,hill-walker and lover of high and lonely places .

An excellent area for Mountain biking offering an extensive variety of routes from prepared tracks of moderate length and difficulty to challenging and remote day expeditions .

Fishing is also available locally on the River Spey or surrounding rivers and lochs .

Excellent golf courses are to be found in this part of Scotland with a wide and varied choice for all .

The Speyside way can be explored  either by cycle or on foot and a rover service operates during the summer months .

This is also the centre of the Scotch whisky industry and you can follow the whisky trail and experience this  fine product at first hand .

There is also the castle trail .featuring many of the historic houses of the North East of Scotland .

Elgin the local town is 15 miles from Aberlour and has numerous supermarkets ,as well as a good selection of shops and a modern leisure centre .

Inverness the capital of the highlands offers shopping centres ,supermarkets and all the major high street shops .

With such a diversity of interest , this area can offer our guests an enjoyable  , interesting , and happy holiday .
